PRESIDENT Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Sunday received the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau I. Jibrin, Senator Rufai Hanga and Senator Kabiru Ibrahim Gaya at the State House, Abuja.
News Point Nigeria reports that the meeting marked the formal return of Senator Hanga and Senator Gaya to the All Progressives Congress (APC), reinforcing the party’s growing ranks ahead of the 2027 general elections.
During the meeting, President Tinubu welcomed the two senators back into the ruling party and commended their decision to reunite with the APC.
The President described their return as a significant boost to unity, cohesion and political progress in Kano State and across the country, expressing confidence that the development would further strengthen the party’s position.
Senator Barau, Senator Hanga and Senator Gaya also reaffirmed their commitment to the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
The three leaders pledged their continued support for President Tinubu’s policies and programmes, while also expressing their commitment to the sustained development and progress of Kano State.
