CONCERNED youths and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (All Progressives Congress) in Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State have called on the party leadership to immediately announce what they described as the authentic result of the Jos South House of Assembly primary election conducted on May 20, 2026.
News Point Nigeria reports that the group made the demand during a press briefing held at the APC State Secretariat, Kalwa House, in Jos, where they expressed dissatisfaction over the delay in the official declaration of the primary election results more than 48 hours after voting reportedly ended across the local government area.
Speaking on behalf of the group, the stakeholders alleged that the prolonged silence surrounding the outcome of the exercise was generating tension and uncertainty among party members and supporters in the constituency.
They insisted that the party leadership must remain transparent and uphold democratic principles by releasing the genuine results of the election without further delay.
According to the group, party faithful in Jos South participated peacefully in the exercise and are now expecting the APC leadership to respect the wishes of delegates and members who took part in the process.
The stakeholders further warned that any attempt to manipulate or alter the outcome of the primary could create disunity within the party ahead of future political contests in Plateau State.
The development adds to growing concerns and controversies trailing some APC primary elections across the state, with several aspirants and supporters raising complaints over the conduct and management of the exercises.
