THE Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has approved the establishment of a new unit at Oshigbudu, Agatu Local Government Area of Benue state.

The member representing Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency, Honourable Samuel Odagboyi Godday disclosed this in a signed statement made available to News Point Nigeria on Wednesday.

According to Hon Godday, he received the notification of the approval yesterday, and was presented with a letter of approval by the Road Safety Corps Marshal, Dauda Ali Biu in the company of the Deputy Corps Marshal Operations, Joshua Kayode and the Deputy Corps Marshal Special Duties, Mrs Susan Ada Ajenge.

He said, the FRSC established the Unit against the rising cases of frequent road accidents along Otukpo – Oweto – Abuja Road.

Godday added that, the development would also help in providing quick response to any emergencies and eventualities.

“Indeed, it is a another milestone in the right direction for the good people of Apa/Agatu Federal constituency”, he concluded

Recall that, Hon Godday had earlier approached the FRSC to establish an operational unit within his constituency which has become imperative due to the increasing rate of accidents and slow response during emergencies.
