PRESIDENT Bola Ahmed Tinubu has departed Abuja for Europe to commence his 2025 annual leave, the Presidency announced on Thursday.
According to a statement issued by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga made available to News Point Nigeria, the vacation, which began on September 4, will last for 10 working days.
The President is expected to spend the period between France and the United Kingdom, after which he will return to Nigeria.
While described as a working vacation, the trip provides the President with an opportunity to rest while also attending to official duties when necessary.
The Presidency did not specify whether President Tinubu will hold meetings with foreign leaders or business executives during the period, but working vacations in the past have often involved a mix of rest and official engagements.
President Tinubu has had a busy 2025 calendar so far, overseeing a series of economic reforms, diplomatic engagements, and domestic policy interventions.
The leave is expected to provide him with some respite before resuming full official duties upon his return.
