NIGERIA international Peter Olayinka has signed a preliminary contract with Serbian SuperLiga champions Red Star Belgrade.
The tall forward will officially join the 1991 European champions on July 1, 2023, after the expiration of his contract with his current club Slavia Prague.
Olayinka has put pen to paper on a three-year contract with Red Star Belgrade until June 2026 with an option to extend for a further year.
“Crvena zvezda is happy to announce the news that striker Peter Olanjinka has signed a preliminary contract with our club and will officially join us on July 1, 2023 as a free agent,” a club statement read.
“He signed a contract with our club until the summer of 2026 with the possibility of extending the cooperation for another year.”
Olanyika has scored 42 goals from 168 matches for Slavia having joined the Czech giants from Albanian club Skënderbeu in 2018.
The three-time Czech First League title winner with Slavia has two played twice for Nigeria’s Super Eagles.
