Due to the densely populated nature of Tunfure Settlement and unplanned development the road network had to be surveyed and designed properly and the Gombe State Govt paid over 600M as compensation to land and property owners two weeks ago.

The Tumfure roads network, awarded toTriacta Nig Ltd, comprises of about 11km of asphalted roads, 8m wide, with reinforced concrete road side drains, several box culverts, laterite subbase and crushed stonebase.

The construction of Tumfure roads network will have enormous health benefits, ease transportation and in improve the general living standard of the people of Gombe. The contractor has pledged to complete the roads works in nine months

    School of Nursing and Midwifery:
The construction of internal roads in School of Nursing, Gombe was awarded to Triacta Nig Ltd at a cost of N1,158,628,750 in April, 2024 after a selective tendering procurement process initiated by the Gombe State Ministry of Works and Housing.

The project consists of 1.1km of roads and about 3,000 square metre of parking areas with medians, walkways for pedestrians, reinforced concrete road side drains and about 850m of outlet drains of various sizes to ensure safe and proper discharge of runoff.

The construction of internal roads in the newly completed school of Nursing will meet international requirements in providing students and staff a safe and conducive environment.

Furthermore, a conducive learning environment will boost the academic performance and moral of the students who are the potential life savers of Gombe state.

Upon considering the long and trusted relationship with Gombe state Government, Triacta Nig Ltd has declared to construct the internal roads in the School of Nursing at their own cost. The project site is located in a flood prone area that suffers from massive flash flood every rainy season. The Hayin Kwarin Misau is the only link between the community of BCGA and Tabra in Gombe Metropolis.

This project was conceptualised on two aims; firstly to construct a bridge and road linking the two communities and secondly to provide river trimming and land reclamation such that the river flow is channelled to mitigate flooding.

The 4 span bridge was completed in June 2023 and immediately after the rainy season the bridge abutment where backfilled and road was connected. Then the tedious construction phase of river trimming, channel excavation, river bank protection and land reclamation began.

This project constitutes an asphalt road of about 500m long, 4 span R.C bridge, over 10000 cubic metres of hard core river bank protection, about 10 hectares of land reclamation and 1.3km of river channelization. The project is about 75% complete.

As these projects near completion, the anticipated benefits in terms of health, safety, and economic growth are set to transform the region significantly. The proactive steps taken to mitigate flooding and enhance educational facilities reflect a forward-thinking approach to urban planning and community welfare, promising a brighter future for the people of Gombe.
