BARRISTER Yakubu Bello Bashir is a former Student Unionist and Youth stakeholder at the National level that have served in many leadership capacities.
He is an appointee of the Senate President of National Assembly and had contested to represent Michika and Madagali Federal Constituency in the last National Assembly Elections.
His past records have clearly shown his Intellectual capacity in delivering task, no matter how tedious. It was during his time as National President of Adamawa State Students Union that he designed and requested for a full operational Scholarship Trust Funds during Gov. Nyako Administration.
It is even clearer that apart from the support the APC Constitution gave to him in article 31.5 (¡¡) which states that; “in the case of State officer, the local government/Area Council Executive Committee shall propose a replacement to the Local Government/Ward Congress for the endorsement.
Thereafter, the name shall be sent to the Local Government Executive Committee for onward transmission to the state Executive Committee for approval” and also sub-paragraph (¡v) of the same article which provides: that the name and designations of the officers in (¡)-(¡¡) above, shall be forwarded to the National Working Committee”, he still got an unprecedented Endorsement from his APC Local Government Executive almost five (5) Months ago by following all the above procedures.
Consequently and in compliance with the provisions of the constitution of the APC herein cited, I wish to state that the constitutional requirement of our party has been fully met and complied with. I humbly urge that the relevant organs of the party which are saddled with the responsibility to effect this resolution should as a matter of utmost urgency converge and do the needful in order to reposition the party for future Electoral activities and as well as embarking on vigorous reconciliation of all aggrieved members.
We as Young people that have known him in the struggle for many in the past, we believe he will bring a New direction that will champion a better course in our dear party and brings a positive Change that not only Young people will enjoy the gesture but Nigeria at large.
