JIGAWA State Governor, Malam Umar Namadi, has reaffirmed that appointments into the state government will continue to be guided by competence, integrity, knowledge and experience, in line with his administration’s 12-Point Agenda for good governance.
News Point Nigeria reports that Governor Namadi gave the assurance on Monday while swearing in one Technical Adviser and five Special Advisers at the Government House in Dutse, urging the newly appointed officials to justify the confidence reposed in them through dedicated service.
The governor described the appointments as another important milestone in strengthening the machinery of government to advance his administration’s vision of building a greater Jigawa for both present and future generations.
He said the appointments reflected his administration’s longstanding commitment to selecting competent, credible and capable individuals who can make meaningful contributions to the development and progress of the state.
Governor Namadi urged the newly appointed officials to remain faithful to the Oath of Office they had taken, reminding them that public office is a sacred trust that demands integrity, dedication, accountability and, above all, the fear of God.
He also commended the spirit of unity already demonstrated by the new political appointees, describing it as a positive indication of their determination to work together in the interest of the state.
The governor assured them that they would serve in an administration that values collaboration, teamwork and collective responsibility in delivering good governance and improving the welfare of the people of Jigawa State.
The newly inaugurated officials are Muftahu Sa’adu Kiri, Technical Adviser on Higher Education; Hajiya Salma Wakili, Special Adviser on Entrepreneurship; Adamu Yusuf Garkuwa, Special Adviser on Hajj Affairs; Mubarak Aliyu, Special Adviser on Intergovernmental Affairs; Musbahu Rabi’u Kaugama, Special Adviser on Investment Promotion; and Bala Sule Kila, Special Adviser on Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs).
