He Who Sold Water And education, What Will He Not Sell For Money? – By S A Zamgina

Atiku ADC

BABA Atiku Abubakar has finally exposed himself as the most dangerous opportunist to ever seek the presidency of Nigeria. His sudden campaign for subsidy reversal is not an economic argument, it is a confession. It is the confession of a man whose entire political life has been about selling Nigeria piece by piece.

Let us be honest with Nigerians. He who sold drinking water and education, what do you think he will not sell for money?

This is the man who as Vice President and Chairman of the National Council on Privatization supervised the most fraudulent asset stripping in our history. He did not privatize, he personalized. He sold Nigeria’s birthright. NITEL that employed thousands of our youths, sold for a pittance. ALSCON, Delta Steel, Nigeria Airways, our sugar companies, our paper mills – all sold to his friends, his front companies, his proxies.

He turned our commonwealth into his private estate. He is the reason our public water corporations collapsed and Nigerians started buying sachet water in their own country. He is the reason public schools were abandoned and education became a commodity only the rich can afford even though he considered money first.

If he could sell the water we drink and the schools that train our children even thoughthe riches, what will stop him from selling the entire country if he gets near Aso Rock? Will he sell the NNPC? Will sell our crude oil fields directly to Dubai? Will he sell our sovereignty? All are yes.

And now he wants to reverse subsidy removal. Why? Because subsidy was the greatest ATM for his cabal. For over a decade, while Nigerians suffered long queues and artificial scarcity, Atiku and his circle of importers were collecting trillions in subsidy payments for fuel they never imported. It was the biggest fraud in Africa. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had the guts that no other leader had – he closed that ATM. He said the subsidy is gone! And he diverted that money to student loans, to roads, to security, to local refining etc.

Atiku wants to bring it back. That is not love for the poor, that is love for his pocket. He knows his business empire feeds on that corrupt system. He wants to borrow billions to pay his friends again, and leave the debt for our children. It is wickedness disguised as populism.

Atiku has contested for 30 years and failed for 30 years because Nigerians know him. He has no ideology, no loyalty, no party, no principle. He is PDP today, APC tomorrow, PDP again next morning. A man who can defect from his own soul for power will defect from Nigeria for money. He is a political tourist who only remembers Nigeria every four years when it is time to contest.

Compare that to Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Tinubu did not inherit power, he built it. He built Lagos from a jungle of debt into the 5th largest economy in Africa. He built leaders. He built a system that outlived him. He took the hardest decision on day one because he is not governing for the next election, he is governing for the next generation.

This is why Tinubu MUST be the next President. There is no alternative. Nigeria is at a crossroads – we either move forward with reforms, with Dangote Refinery working, with Port Harcourt Refinery working, with our students getting loans, with our economy being productive, or we go back to the dark era of Atiku where everything is for sale.

Tinubu is a builder who keeps the house. Atiku is a seller who auctions the house.

Nigerians are not fools. We have rejected Atiku six times and we will reject him for the seventh time. The era of salesmen is over. The era of builders under Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has come to stay.
