THE Israeli military has killed at least 29 Palestinians across Gaza since dawn on Monday, with many fatalities in attacks on tent camps for displaced people.
Also the Palestinian Civil Defence and the Palestine Red Crescent Society call for an independent investigation into the deaths of 14 Palestinian emergency workers and a United Nations employee, rejecting an Israeli investigation into last month’s brutal killings.
Meanwhile, Israeli settlers have attacked a Bedouin family on the outskirts of the Palestinian village of Sinjil, near Ramallah, and torched their property.
A video shared by local media showed several agricultural shacks gutted by the fire.
The Times of Israel reported that one member of the family was hospitalised after being repeatedly struck in the head by the attackers.
The incident occurred after Israeli authorities evacuated an illegal outpost erected nearby by settlers, the Israeli newspaper said.
It added that no Israelis were arrested while a Palestinian who intervened to push back the attackers was detained for allegedly throwing stones.
At least 51,240 Palestinians have been confirmed killed and 116,931 wounded in Israel’s war on Gaza since it began 18 months ago.
The Gaza Government Media Office updated its death toll to more than 61,700, saying thousands of people missing under the rubble are presumed dead. At least 1,139 people were killed in Israel during the Hamas-led October 7, 2023, attacks, and more than 200 were taken captive.
