LAMINE Yamal, the teenage star of FC Barcelona, has reportedly urged the club’s hierarchy to prioritise the signing of Victor Osimhen ahead of next season.
According to Fichajes, the young winger considers the Galatasaray forward as the “missing piece” in Barcelona’s attacking setup, one capable of leading the line while complementing the team’s creative wide players.
Yamal is said to believe that Osimhen’s presence would help reduce defensive pressure on the team and create more space in attacking areas, thereby improving the overall effectiveness of Barcelona’s forward play.
The Catalan giants are understood to be exploring a potential move for the in-form striker, although his reported valuation exceeding €100 million remains a major obstacle.
Osimhen, who joined Galatasaray for €75 million at the start of the season, continues to attract strong interest from top European clubs, with his performances further boosting his market value.
Widely known for his physical strength, intelligent movement, and clinical finishing, Osimhen is regarded as one of the most decisive forwards in European football.
His ability to stretch defences and convert chances consistently is viewed as a key asset for a Barcelona side aiming to compete for major honours.
Yamal believes the Nigerian striker’s profile would introduce a new dimension to the team’s attack, particularly when facing compact defensive setups.
The striker’s performances this season have only strengthened his appeal, with Osimhen scoring 26 goals across domestic and European competitions, reinforcing his reputation as one of the most sought-after forwards in the transfer market.
