Governor Inuwa Appoints Two New Permanent Secretaries

GOMBE State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has approved the appointment of 2 new Permanent Secretaries.

They are Salisu Adamu Sambo from Akko and Jidaya Abba from Billiri local government areas.

According to a statement signed and issued by the Director-General of Press Affairs to the governor, Ismaila Uba Misilli, the state’s Head of Civil Service,  Alhaji Bappayo Yahaya conveyed the Governor’s approval and said, the development followed the retirement from service, of Adamu Musa Kumo and Benjamin Wabida from Akko and Billiri LGAs respectively.

According to the Head of Service,  “this development is in line with the resolve of Governor Inuwa Yahaya to ensure that harworking civil servants in the state attain the peak of their career and that each local government should have at least 2 Permanent Secretaries “.

He added that  the duo of Salisu Sambo and Jidaya Abba were considered and appointed based  on their suitability in terms of credentials, experience, hard work and seniority.

The 2 new Permanent Secretaries will be sworn in by His Excellency tomorrow Thursday,  19th January,  2023 by 8:am at the New Banquet Hall of the Government House,  Gombe alongside the newly appointed Local Government Caretaker Chairmen and Special Advisers.
