GOVERNOR Uba Sani has appointed three new Commissioners, 45 aides and 40 members of various boards as part of efforts to accelerate his administration’s development agenda and deepen institutional reforms in Kaduna State.
News Point Nigeria reports that the appointments are aimed at strengthening the administration’s capacity to deliver on its transformational agenda, optimise public service delivery and foster sustainable economic growth.
In a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Malam Ibraheem Musa, Governor Sani said the appointees would help accelerate “the administration’s transformational agenda, optimizing public service delivery, and fostering sustainable economic growth.”
The statement disclosed that Ben Kure, the Managing Director of the Kaduna State Media Corporation (KSMC), has been appointed Commissioner of Sports Development.
Governor Uba Sani also appointed Amina Akilu Dalhat as Commissioner of Special Duties I, while Abdullahi Garba Abbas was appointed Commissioner of Special Duties II.
According to the Chief Press Secretary, Dr Haliru Soba, who is currently the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education, has been appointed Deputy Chief of Staff, Administration.
The Governor also appointed chairmen and members of key boards across the state, with the statement noting that the appointments were part of efforts to strengthen institutions and improve service delivery.
Among those appointed are Alhaji Munir Jafaru, who will serve as Board Chairman of the Kaduna State Health Care Board, and AVM Bashir Gamagira Saidu, appointed Board Chairman of the Kaduna Vigilance Service Board.
Other chairmen include Hon. Justice Gideon Isa Kurada (Rtd), Board Chairman, College of Education, Gidan Waya, and Esther Bago, Board Chairman, Institute of Vocational Training and Skills Development.
The other appointees include Dr Yusuf Aliyu Bature, Board Chairman, Kaduna Hospital Supply Management Agency, and Engr. Namadi Musa, Board Chairman, Kaduna Rural Access Roads Authority.
The statement noted that, while congratulating the new appointees, Governor Uba Sani said they were carefully selected based on their proven track records of excellence, integrity and dedication.
He charged them to bring fresh perspectives to their respective assignments, reject complacency and align completely with his administration’s vision of a transformed and resilient Kaduna State.
Governor Sani also wished the new appointees God’s guidance as they take up their new responsibilities.
