Ramadan: Pray For Nigeria, Remember The Poor, Ganduje Urges Muslim Faithful

THE National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has charged the Muslim ummah to remember the poor, vulnerable, and marginalised as they observe the holy month of Ramadan

Ganduje, in a felicitation statement by Edwin Olofu, his chief press secretary, on Sunday in Abuja, said, “Ramadan is a time for spiritual rejuvenation, introspection, and renewal, and we pray that Allah (SWT) grants us the strength and wisdom to observe the fast with devotion and sincerity.”

The APC Chairman further stated, “As we embark on this 30-day journey, we urge all Nigerian Muslims to remain steadfast in their faith and to continue being shining examples of the values of compassion, generosity, and kindness that are hallmarks of our great religion.”

Assuring Nigerians that the party remains committed to promoting the welfare and well-being of all Nigerians, regardless of their faith or background, Ganduje said, “We will continue to work tirelessly to address the challenges facing our nation, from economic uncertainty to social inequality.”

The APC Chairman then advised, “As we observe the fast, let us not forget the less fortunate among us – the poor, the vulnerable, and the marginalized. Let us reach out to them with kindness, compassion, and generosity, and let us work together to build a more inclusive and equitable society.”

He urged Nigerian Muslims to offer prayers for President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, seeking divine guidance, strength, and wisdom to successfully implement his Renewed Hope Agenda, which promises to bring about positive transformation to the lives of all Nigerians.

He then prayed, “May this sacred month bring you joy, wisdom, and spiritual growth, and may Allah accept your fasting, prayers, and charitable deeds.”
