THE Jigawa state chapter of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) Monday congratulated the new president of the association, Comrade Aisha Ibrahim Bura for emerging winner in the just concluded election.
In a message signed by its chairperson, Comrade Hauwa Ibrahim Ladan, Jigawa NAWOJ also congratulated other newly elected national officers of the association.
The chapter, while wishing the administration of Comrade Aisha and her team a successful tenure, stressed that the team will impact all NAWOJIANs across the country positively and uphold the ethics of the profession

”We the Executive members of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists Jigawa state chapter congratulates President Aisha Ibrahim for emerging winner in the 11 Triennial Delegate Conference held in Abuja at the Maryam Babangida Centre for Women Development,” the statement read.
The statement added: “The state chapter is confident that Comrade Bura’s leadership will take NAWOJ to greater heights, which will sustain the reputation of women journalist in Nigeria by upholding the ethics of the profession
“We assure you of our cooperation as your team works towards achieving a greater NAWOJ.
“We also felicitate with the re-elected deputy president, Lilian Okonkwo Ogabu, the national secretary, Wasilah Ibrahim-Ladan, Treasurer, Fatimah Rasheed, financial secretary, Ifeoma Aka, assistant secretary, Aisha Cole, and auditor Jemilah Abubakar”, the statement concluded.
