Senator Yari Reveals Why Insecurity Will Drop In Zamfara By 2025

    By Sani NuraDecember 29, 2024
    Senator Yari

FORMER Governor of Zamfara State, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, has assured that insecurity plaguing Zamfara and Northwestern Nigeria will be reduced to the barest minimum by October 2025.

He made this declaration while addressing journalists at his country home in Talata-Mafara Local Government Area of the state.

The senator highlighted the Federal Government’s ongoing efforts to tackle the menace, emphasizing the deployment of additional security personnel to combat terrorists in the region, particularly in Zamfara State.

“Recently, the military has ordered some equipment and deployed them to the Northwest, not for anything but because Northwest is becoming the territory of criminalities and banditry, but I assure you that before the end of October next year, it will be reduced to the barest minimum.” Yari stated.

“Why I said that is because President in his budget first of its kind in the history of the country, even during the military they did not budget the huge amount for security but this time he allocated most of the budget to security which by God’s grace it’s going to be utilized judiciously so that the issue of insecurity will be a matter of the past.”

He expressed confidence that these efforts would bring significant relief to the people of Zamfara, particularly farmers who have been adversely affected by the insecurity.

Yari assured Zamfara people that by the next rainy season, most farmers would be able to return to their farmlands without fear of attack.

“By God’s grace, next rainy season most of our farmers will go back to their farmlands because President has promised Nigerians.”

The senator further called for patience and collaboration from residents, urging them to support government initiatives aimed at restoring peace.

Zamfara State has been one of the epicenters of armed violence in Northern Nigeria, with banditry, kidnapping, and other forms of insecurity disrupting lives and livelihoods.
