    Major General Waidi Shaibu was born on 18 December 1971 in Olamaboro Local Government Area of Kogi State. He enrolled into the Nigerian Defence Academy in 1989 as a member of the 41 Regular Course and was commissioned into the Nigerian Army Armour Corps on 17 September 1994 as a Second Lieutenant.

    Chief Of Naval Staff – Rear Admiral Idi Abbas (NN/1739)

    Rear Admiral Idi Abbas was born on 20 September 1969 in Kano State. A member of the 40th Regular Course, he was commissioned as a Midshipman on 18 September 1992. He rose to Rear Admiral on 10 September 2020.

    He has held numerous leadership and operational commands, most notably as Flag Officer Commanding Central Naval Command, Bayelsa, where he successfully curtailed sea piracy and oil theft.

    He currently serves at the Nigerian Army Heritage and Future Centre, contributing to joint defence doctrine development.

    He is widely regarded as disciplined, composed, and strategically mature. He is a devout Muslim, married, and blessed with children.

    Chief Of Air Staff – Air Vice Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke (NAF/2182)

    Born on 20 February 1972 in Makurdi, Benue State, AVM Aneke hails from Udi LGA of Enugu State. He was enlisted into the Nigerian Defence Academy as part of the 40th Regular Course and commissioned into the Nigerian Air Force in 1993.

    Chief Of Defence Staff – Lieutenant General Olufemi Olatubosun Oluyede (N/9318)

    Born 21 June 1968 in Ikere-Ekiti, General Oluyede is a strategic infantry commander with decades of leadership in counterterrorism, counterinsurgency, amphibious operations, multinational missions, and national defence strategy.

    He is the 29th Indigenous Chief of Army Staff, first acting in October 2024, then substantive in November 2024.

    His command philosophy prioritizes:

    “A well-motivated, combat-ready Army capable of fulfilling constitutional duties within a joint and multi-agency structure.”

    His welfare- and morale-centered reforms, front-line command presence, and operational restructuring continue to shape national security outcomes.
