PROMINENT chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, Alhaji Ibrahim Ali Amin Little, has become the first governorship aspirant in Nigeria to officially purchase the party’s governorship nomination form ahead of the 2027 general elections.
This was disclosed in a statement signed by Adnan Mukhtar, ANIPR, Executive Assistant to the aspirant, following the purchase of the form at the party’s national headquarters in Abuja.
Speaking with journalists shortly after obtaining the nomination form, the former APP Chairman in Kano and ADC governorship hopeful expressed confidence in emerging victorious both at the party primaries and during the general election.
According to him, his decision to contest is driven by the desire to rescue Kano State from what he described as incompetent leadership and to lay the foundation for a modern, prosperous and people-oriented Kano.
“My interest is the people of Kano. We must ensure the total eradication of political thuggery, strengthen social welfare and prioritise poverty eradication, alongside the provision of basic amenities, quality education, functional hospitals and adequate water supply. These are the issues that concern me most,” he stated.
Little further stressed that if elected, his administration would place priority on agriculture, youth empowerment, industrial revival and economic development across Kano State.
“I will boost farming in Kano and create opportunities for our teeming youths. We will ensure the revival of our industries to stimulate economic growth, create jobs and restore Kano’s position as the commercial hub of Northern Nigeria,” he added.
The ADC chieftain also assured party supporters and the people of Kano that his ambition is rooted in competence, inclusiveness and genuine commitment to public service.
He expressed optimism that the ADC would provide what he described as a credible alternative for the people of Kano State ahead of the 2027 elections.
