DETHRONED Kano Emir, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero has moved into the Nasarawa palace of the Emirate in the ancient town.
This newspaper had reported how the 15th Emir of Kano, returned to the town in the early hours of Saturday.
Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, who sacked Ado Bayero alongside other Emirs appointed by his predecessor, Abdullahi Ganduje, had given them 48 hours to vacate their palaces and hand over to the Commissioner of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affair.
He had subsequently announced the reinstatement of Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi, whom Ganduje deposed in 2020.
But in the early hours of Saturday, Ado Bayero returned to Kano and was welcomed by a crowd of supporters.
He later moved into the mini-palace in Nassarawa, fueling confusion.
However, Sanusi II has taken over the Gidan Rumfa palace.
The two palaces are now under heavy security cover.
Earlier, the governor directed the arrest of Aminu Ado Bayero.
