IN keeping with the 60 days constitutional provisions, Governor Muhammadu Yahaya of Gombe State has submitted a list of 17 commissioner-nominees to the House of Assembly for approval.
Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Abubakar Njodi, personally transmitted the list of the nominees to the clerk of the Assembly, Rukaiyatu Jalo, for unveiling by the Speaker, Abubakar Luggerewo.
Meanwhile, based on the recommendation made by the report of the 2023 Transition Management Committee chaired by Dr Ibrahim Daudu on 17th July 2023, the governor is expected to reduce the number of ministries from 21 to 17.
In 2019, Yahaya reduced the number of ministries from 27 to 21.
