The transformation of the facility was undertaken under the leadership of Engr. Margaret Aina Oguntala, FNSE, the 34th President and first female head of the NSE, underscoring her administration’s unwavering commitment to modernization, professionalism, and service excellence.

Delivering his keynote address, Hon. Goronyo described the upgraded facility as more than a facelift calling it “a symbol of progress and institutional renewal” in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

“President of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Engr. Margaret Oguntala, FNSE, distinguished members of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) Council, esteemed guests, ladies and gentlemen,” he began,

“I am deeply honoured to have been invited to perform the official commissioning of the remodelled Front Office of the Nigerian Society of Engineers Secretariat Complex today. It has been a privilege to witness the dedication and effort that has gone into transforming this space into such an aesthetically pleasing area with a more welcoming ambience.”

He emphasized that the initiative is in perfect alignment with the administration’s strategic goals.

“This transformation perfectly aligns with the core principles of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s ‘Renewed Hope Agenda.’ This modernized front office is not just an upgrade in infrastructure; it symbolizes progress and a commitment to creating an inviting environment for all who interact with the Nigerian Society of Engineers,” the Minister stated.

In her remarks, Engr. Margaret Oguntala, FNSE, expressed deep gratitude to the Minister for honoring the invitation, while reiterating the NSE’s unwavering commitment to advancing Nigeria’s development through engineering innovation, institutional reform, and strategic partnerships.

The newly remodelled front office now features a modern reception area, upgraded workstations for staff, and digitized systems to facilitate seamless administrative operations and member engagement. It is part of a broader transformation agenda to reposition the NSE as a 21st-century professional body rooted in efficiency, innovation, and national relevance.

The event ended on a high note, with a tour of the upgraded space and a reaffirmation of the synergy between government and professional institutions in achieving national development goals.
