KANO Police Command have arrested a twenty-year-old boy, Ghadaffi Sagir, who has confessed to killing his step mother with a sharp object and strangled her daughter in Kano.
News Point Nigeria reports that the accused committed the crime on Saturday night around 11.00pm, at Rijiyar Zaki around Layin Dorawanyan Kifi, Ungogo local government area of Kano State.
Confirming the arrest to News Point Nigeria on Sunday, Chairman, Ungogo local government council, Engr. Abdullahi Garba Ramat, said the accused claimed to have killed his step mother, Malama Rabi as she was the cause of separation between his mother and father, Malam Sagir Maimagani.
Also confirming the development to News Point Nigeria, Kano Police image maker, SP Abdullahi Kiyawa said the suspect was arrested yesterday and confessed to the crime.
Kiyawa said the police have commenced investigation into the matter.
