ARRANGEMENT have been concluded for a successful conduct of Annual General Meeting of Birnin-Kudu Old Boys Association BIKOBA, the umbrella of the Old Students of Government Unity College, Birnin Kudu, Jigawa state – one of the famous Secondary Schools/Colleges in Northern Nigeria.
According to a statement signed by the National Publicity Secretary, Mahmoud Ibrahim Kwari, Thursday, the occasion scheduled to take place on Sunday the 31st of December, 2023 by 9:00am at the Murtala Mohammed Library Hall along Ahmadu Bello Way Kano, will feature a Public Lecture to be delivered by Prof. Sabo Ibrahim, Vice Chancellor Federal University of Technology, Babura Jigawa state.
The lecture, titled, “The relevance of Career Guidance and Counseling in Secondary Schools” will expose students and Parents on what expect after graduation, especially under the current challenges of both economy and policies of government in respect of job provision for the young teeming population in the country.
Alhaji Ibrahim Galadima, former Chairman Nigeria Football Association, NFA and one time President of BIKOBA will chair the Occasion with Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa state as special Guest of Honor while former Governors of Kano and Jigawa states Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and Alhaji Sule Lamido would serve as Guests of Honor respectively.
The Emir of Kano Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero will be the royal father of the day with Alhaji Ja’afar Usman Muhammad (Turakin Gaya) and BIKOBA, National President as chief Host of the occasion.
Other highlights of the AGM, includes presentation of an Audited account report that contains financial statement of the Association for subsequent ratification and approval by the members amongst others.
Members and friends of BIKOBA family are expected to fully attend the historic annual event.
