ANOTHER fire outbreak has been reported at the popular Singa Market, Gidan Glass area of Kano, barely two weeks after another major fire incident at the same market.
News Point Nigeria reports that the Head of the Labourers Association at the market, Hamisu Dan Hisbah, confirmed the development to our correspondent on Saturday evening.
“The fire just broke out 10 minutes ago. We don’t know what caused it yet, but the fire service have arrived and they are trying to contain it,” he said.
As of the time of filing this report, the cause of the fire remained unknown, while emergency responders were working to prevent further spread.
The latest incident comes barely two weeks after a fire outbreak at Mazaf Plaza within Singa Market destroyed goods worth millions of naira, raising concerns among traders over recurring fire incidents in the area.
