THE Anaguta Youths Development and Cultural Association on Saturday held the 2026 International Boy’s Day Conference, aimed at mentoring young boys on responsible living, discipline, leadership, and financial growth.
News Point Nigeria reports that the programme was convened by Maguda Samuel Sani and co-hosted by Danladi D. Kadan, Arin Ishaku Kabandu, and Emmanuel Esther Tikaba. It was themed “Flourish & Thrive: Investing in Boys for Stronger Families & Communities,” and brought together professionals, community leaders, and youth advocates who spoke on issues affecting the development of young boys in society.
According to participants and organisers, the event focused on equipping boys with the right values and mindset needed to become responsible members of society while contributing positively to their families and communities.
Among the speakers at the conference were Dr. Sunday Daku Sani of the University of Jos, who spoke on “Investing in Your Future with Dignity and Focus,” and SP Alfred Alaro of the Plateau State Command, who addressed issues of crime prevention and responsible living among boys.
Representatives from the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) also delivered a session on “Escaping the Trap of Abuse,” highlighting the dangers of substance abuse among young people.
Other speakers included Dr. Desmond Bisandu, who encouraged participants to remain prepared and positioned for opportunities, while Dr. Haruna Solomon Binkam spoke on self-discipline as a pathway to greatness.
The conference also featured discussions on financial stability, mentorship, and personal growth, with organisers describing the initiative as an investment in the future of the community.
Convener of the programme, Maguda Samuel Sani, alongside the co-hosts, commended participants and partners for supporting the initiative.
Community members praised the conference for creating a platform where young boys could receive guidance, encouragement, and practical lessons on leadership and responsible living.
The event was held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, and attracted youths, stakeholders, and members of the Anaguta community.
