SEASONED Kano journalist and a Fellow of the Nigeria Guild of Editors, Alhaji AbdulKadir Ahmed Ibrahim has lost his uncle, Alhaji Dan-Asabe Ahmed Kwakwaci.
According to a statement signed by Ibrahim, Tuesday, the deceased died at the age of 92 at his residence in Gunduwawa area of Kamo state, early hours of Tuesday.

I lost an uncle Alhaji Dan-Asabe Ahmed Kwakwachi at 92.
Innalillahi Wa’inna Ilaihirraji’un.
Alhaji Dan-Asabe Ahmed Kwakwachi a renowned Poultry farmer and Animal Feeds producer in Kano State is dead.
Aged about 92 years, he died today (Tuesday 18/7/2023) at his residence at the Kwakwachi Farm House situated at Gunduwawa Village along Hadejia Road in Kano.
Alhaji Dan-Asabe Kwakwachi was the founder of Kwakwachi Mixed Farming and Poultry Farms at Gunduwawa Village along Hadejia Road, Kano.
He was a nationalist involved in the struggle for an independent Nigeria.
Late Alhaji Dan-Asabe Ahmed Kwakwachi was a member and one of the constituency chapter leaders of the defunct Northern Elements Progressive Union, NEPU. He was an elected Councillor under NEPU representing Kabuwaya Ward at the Kano City Council in the 1950s.
The Veteran political activist was in the league of other pre-independence nationalists such as Malam Aminu Kano, Malam Tanko Yakasai, Kashim Imam, Mudi Spikin, Magaji Dambatta, Adamu B. K. Gabari, Musa Gwadabe, Ammani Inuwa, Sabo Bakinzuwo and many others.
He is survived by One Wife, Four Children and many grandchildren.
Late Alhaji Dan-Asabe Kwakwachi was the father of late Alhaji Abdulgani Ahmed Ibrahim a retired Director of Establishment at the Office of the Head of Civil Service of Kano State, who died 4 months ago.
He was buried at the Kofar Mazugal cemetery and his relations are receiving condolences at the residence of his Senior brother, late Alhaji Maiunguwa Ahmed Ibrahim, at Kwakwatawa quarters after the house of late Alhaji Sunusi Dantata in Kano City.
