    Gusau Stand Still To Welcome PDP Guber Candidate, Dauda Lawal

    GUSAU, the capital city of Zamfara State stood still as party faithful and Supporters of the people’s Democratic Party welcome its Governorship Candidate, Dauda Lawal to the state.

    The mammoth crowd welcomed Mr. Dauda from Yankara, a community bordering Katsina and Zamfara state Monday evening.

    The ever busy Funtua – Gusau road was almost shut as thousands trooped to the streets in support of Dauda’s Governorship ambition.

    Dr. Dauda’s entourage has been on the road for several hours and arrived Gusau at about 12:05am Tuesday morning

    The welcome home rally was in Continuation of the PDP’s Celebration over their victory at the appeal court in Sokoto, last Friday.

    It was a grand entry into the city of Gusau for the first time by the PDP’s Governorship candidate since his reinstatement by the court

    Dr. Dauda and other party chieftains waved to the tumultuous crowd as his name was being chanted “Sai Dauda” “Sai Dauda”.

    The crowd of supporters seemed to be of one mind, which is to garner support for the PDP’s Governorship Candidate in the march general election

    An appeal court sitting in Sokoto had last Friday reinstated Dauda Lawal Dare as the PDP’s Governorship Candidate for Zamfara ahead of March 2023 elections.

    The judgement sets aside the ruling of the Federal High Court sitting in Gusau, in November 2022, which had earlier disqualified Lawal

    The PDP governorship candidate had urged party members supporters, and the public to remain calm following the nullification of the primary that produced him.

    Addressing the crowd at the PDP Governorship Campaign office in Ungwan Dallatu, Gusau which was was filled to capacity, Dr. Dauda said if elected Governor he will tackle the Menace of Insecurity bedevilling the state

    He said agriculture which is the pride of the state no longer thrive due to Banditry and Kidnapping for ransom, thereby increasing poverty rate in the state.

    On Education, the PDP Governorship flag bearer assures he will ensure experts lead the sector, provide conducive atmosphere for learning and will upgrade the standard of education across the state.

    Dauda Lawal insist he has all it takes to change the fortunes of Zamfara and take the State to the promise Land.

    The ex-banker turns Politicians said no Governorship Candidate in the state is a threat to his Victory come March 2023.

    He appealed to all Zamfara residents to collect their permanent Voters Card (PVC) and vote wisely.

    The people’s Democratic Party also use the opportunity to enjoin party Supporters to shun any act of Political Thuggery and violence before, during and after the election.
