PRESIDENT Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Muhammad Babangida, the son of former military Head of State, General Ibrahim Babangida (rtd), as Chairman of the newly restructured Bank of Agriculture (BOA).
The announcement was made in a statement issued on Thursday by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga and made available to News Point Nigeria.
According to the statement, the President also approved the appointment of seven other distinguished individuals to serve as chairmen and directors-general of various federal government agencies.
Muhammad Babangida, 53, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Master’s degree in Public Relations and Business Communication from the European University in Montreux, Switzerland.
He also completed an executive program in Corporate Governance at Harvard Business School in 2002.
The appointments reflect what the presidency described as President Tinubu’s commitment to “competence, regional balance, and service delivery” in public service.
