ALL hope is not lost to settle the rift between the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar and the five governors known as G5 led by Nyesom Wike, as Former Governor of Cross River State, Liyel Imoke said behind the scenes resolutions are ongoing and will be made public soon.
Imoke was speaking shortly after he addressed the PDP stakeholders in Calabar Municipality and Calabar South local government areas, saying allowing the Aggrieved governors to vote for another candidate is a threat and risky for the People Democratic Party.
The Deputy Director-General in charge of operations of the Atiku /Okowa Presidential Campaign Council, said serious efforts are ongoing to resolve the differences between the Party Presidential Flag bearer and the G5 Governors.
The former Cross River State Governor, says he believes all issues on the ground would be resolved in a matter of days.
The G5 governors, Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, Samuel Ortom of Benue State, Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State have been demanding that the PDP National Chairman Iyorcha Ayu resign before they can support the party Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
