THERE is anxiety presently in Kogi state as Governor of Kogi state, Alhaji Yahaya Bello issued a query of insubordination to HRM Dr. Ado Ibrahim, the Ohinoyi of Ebira Land.
The official backlash is coming after the Ohinoyi’s behaviour during President Muhammadu Buhari’s visit to the state to commission the governor’s legacy projects.
News Point Nigeria gathered that Ohinoyi refused to come out to receive the President at the venue designated by the Governor sending a sick letter of excuse to the governor shortly after the President’s arrival.
In a statement made available to News Point Nigeria, the Kogi state government stated that, the Ohinoyi’s actions is capable of bringing Kogi State and Ebira land to grave disrepute.
” This action of yours is an act of insubordination and disloyalty to the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Nigerian Armed Forces, the Executive Governor of Kogi State and the entire Ebira nation as a whole. It portends grave danger to the security of the state and laying bad precedence for traditional institution of the State “.
The statement further ordered Ohinoyi to foward an explanations for the insubordination and disloyalty to avoid disciplinary action.
