FORMER Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh, has extolled Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman following his impressive performances for the Italian club.
Lookman has emerged as an important figure since moving to Atalanta from RB Leipzig in 2022 for €9.35m.
After not having much success in previous spells with Everton, Leipzig, Fulham, and Leicester City, the 26-year-old has quickly adjusted to life in Italy to become one of the best players in the league since his arrival.
In his debut season, Lookman scored 15 goals and registered eight assists in 33 appearances across all competitions and he has not shown any sign of slowing down this season he already hit the back of the net 11 times and provided seven assists in 37 games for La Dea.
In his last three games, the Nigerian has had three goal contributions (one goal and two assists) and his solo goal against Empoli on Sunday left the former midfielder in awe of the winger.
Reacting to the brilliant goal, Oliseh on his X handle on Wednesday said, “Ademola Lookman is simply unstoppable on a good day. Love watching this man play.”
Gian Piero Gasperini will hope Lookman can continue with his impressive form and steer the team to victory as they face Marseille in the semi-finals of the Europa League on Thursday (today).
Atalanta are currently sixth in the Serie A and victories in their remaining fixtures will see them finish fifth and qualify for the UEFA Champions League.
La Dea are also in the finals of the Italian Cup and are looking good to win their first title in 61 years.
