THE organisers of the maiden edition of the 21Km Aspira Kano Heritage Marathon have fixed 11th of February as a tentative date for its take off.
This was exclusively made known to News Point Nigeria by the secretary of the organising committee of the competition, Malam Bashir Ahmed Maizare after the committee meeting at its temporary Secretariat in Kano on yesterday.
According to him, the change of date was necessitated because of some logistics problems.
“This is to notify the registered participants, stakeholders and the general public that the organizers of this Marathon has rescheduled the date and the new date is now Saturday 11th February, 2023″ .
The secretary further explained that the flag off time of the competition which is exclusively for men is going to be at 8:30am while the starting and finishing points will be the Emir’s Palace Kofar Kudu, Kano.
In another development, Barr. Abdullahi Muhammad Ibrahim, Director Legal Drafting Ministry of Justice Kano state has been appointed to serves as the competition’s new chairman.
He succeeded Alhaji Dr. Ibrahim Galadima.
