He has recognized that water is a vital resource that is critical to the health and well-being of the people, agriculture, and rural development, and has made it a top priority to provide a steady water supply, rehabilitate water treatment plants, provide rural water supply, rehabilitate and expand irrigation facilities, rehabilitate earth dams, and reform Kano State Water Board.
