WATER resources infrastructure in Kano refers to the physical structures and facilities, such as water treatment plants, irrigation systems, earth dams, and water storage facilities, that are constructed and managed to provide a steady water supply and ensure efficient water management. The development and maintenance of water resources infrastructure are critical to ensuring adequate access to clean water, promoting agriculture and rural development, and improving the health and well-being of the people of Kano State.

    BORNO PATRIOTS

His Excellency, Abba Kabir Yusuf, the newly elected governor of Kano State, has shown an unwavering commitment to water resources infrastructure development in the state. He has recognized that water is a vital resource that is critical to the health and well-being of the people, agriculture, and rural development, and has made it a top priority to provide a steady water supply, rehabilitate water treatment plants, provide rural water supply, rehabilitate and expand irrigation facilities, rehabilitate earth dams, and reform Kano State Water Board.

One of the areas where Abba Kabir Yusuf has demonstrated a strong commitment to water resource infrastructure development is in the provision of a steady water supply. He has recognized that access to clean water is essential for the health and well-being of the people, and has made it a priority to ensure that Kano State residents have access to clean water. He has proposed several projects aimed at constructing and rehabilitating water treatment plants across the state, ensuring that the water that is supplied to households is clean and safe for consumption.

In addition to providing a steady water supply, Abba has also shown a strong commitment to the rural water supply. He has recognized that access to clean water is particularly challenging in rural areas, where the majority of the population relies on agriculture for their livelihood. To this end, he has proposed some projects aimed at providing potable water to rural communities in the state. These projects include the drilling of boreholes, the construction of water treatment plants, and the provision of water storage facilities.

Furthermore, the Governor-elect has shown a strong commitment to the rehabilitation and expansion of irrigation facilities in Kano State. He recognizes that irrigation is critical to agriculture, and as such, he has been working to ensure that farmers in Kano State have access to adequate irrigation facilities. He has initiated several projects aimed at rehabilitating and expanding existing irrigation facilities, such as the rehabilitation of the Hadejia-Jama’are Rivers Basin Development Authority (HJRBDA) in collaboration with the Federal Government, and the expansion of the Bagauda Irrigation Project.

Moreover, the incoming governor has also demonstrated a strong commitment to the rehabilitation of earth dams in Kano State. He understands that earth dams play a vital role in water conservation and management, especially in the dry season when water sources are scarce. Under his leadership, the state government will initiate several projects aimed at rehabilitating the 22 earth dams across the state, such as the prominent Challawa Gorge Dam.

Finally, Abba Kabir Yusuf has also shown a strong commitment to the reformation of the Kano State Water Board. He understands that the effectiveness of the water board is critical to the success of water resources infrastructure development in Kano State. To this end, he will initiate several reforms aimed at improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the water board.

    Happy Birthday

These reforms include the introduction of new management practices, the training of staff, and the introduction of new technologies.

In conclusion, His Excellency, Abba Kabir Yusuf, as a water resource engineer, has a passion for providing a steady water supply, rehabilitating water treatment plants, providing rural water supply, rehabilitating and expanding irrigation facilities, rehabilitating earth dams, reforming Kano State Water Board is commendable.

Nigerian TAX Reform - Federal Goverment

His approach will have a positive impact on the lives of the people of Kano State, especially in the areas of health, agriculture, and rural development. It is hoped that his commitment and efforts will bear fruits and positively impact the lives of the people of Kano State for years to come.
